El legendario pionero, innovador en los medios de comunicación y la música popular en Puerto Rico, es el hoy Doctor en Psicología, Alfred D. Herger Ph.D. En este 1er volumen, la primera parte de "SECRETOS REVELADOS", él nos lleva desde el 1958, cuando a los 15 años comienza su columna de música y espectáculos para EL MUNDO, el principal periódico de su país. Continúa reseñando los novedosos programas de radio y televisión que creó y animaba, más las aplaudidas grabaciones musicales que produjo con los jóvenes artistas de "La Nueva Ola", movimiento que funda y promueve en Puerto Rico, creando una incipiente revolución musical que históricamente conquista al gran publico. Aquí Alfred relata eventos y anécdotas de figuras como: Chucho Avellanet, Lucecita, Lisette, Julio Ángel, Charlie Robles, Diana, Tammy, Al Zeppy, Papo Román, Danny Rivera, Sophy, Iris Chacón, y otros. Para la mayoría de ellos escribe exitosas canciones como 'Magia Blanca', 'Juntos', 'Anoche No Dormí', 'El Diamante', 'El Rebelde', y muchas más, que se incluyen en películas realizadas en su isla, donde sus artistas 'nuevaoleros' actuaban. Durante su trayecto inicial, escribió, produjo e interpretó el novedoso disco titulado "El Hombre del Satélite" lanzado con éxito singular por Guillermo Álvarez Guedes en varios mercados internacionales -cuyo libreto Alfred incluye en este libro. En su isla, Herger promovió sensacionalmente al astro mundial Paul Anka y luego, viajando a Philadelphia aprende con el ícono de la TV norteamericana Dick Clark su fórmula de un programa diario de televisión para adolescentes danzantes, creando en Puerto Rico con ésta receta, su inolvidable "Teenager's Matinee!" En el show, Alfred introdujo el Rock y enseñó a bailar el Twist; presentó ídolos del Hit Parade Americano, como Paul Anka, Neil Sedaka, Brian Hyland, Bobby Rydell, Paul Simon, y los ritmos latinos de Joe Cuba y su Sexteto (con Cheo Feliciano), Tito Rodriguez, Pacheco, Joe Quijano, la Orquesta Panamericana, Cortijo e Ismael Rivera, etc. etc. En hoteles y salas de espectáculos Alfred presentó las actuaciones en vivo de Chubby Checker, Joe Cuba con Cheo, Frankie Avalon y Pat Boone. Introdujo en TV a un joven José Feliciano, y además, matriculó a su protejida Lucecita Benítez para el "1er Festival de La Canción Latina en el Mundo" -evento donde la diva boricua conquista el primer puesto ¡y se internacionaliza! En Hollywood, para Liberty Records Alfred grabó a Vicky Carr, y en Nueva York produjo junto al maestro Leroy Holmes históricos álbumes con Chucho Avellanet para la empresa United Artists. Además, junto al maestro Holmes, grabó Lp's de Carmen Delia Dipiní, Leo Marini, Al Zeppy, e infinidad de otros artistas. En esta primera parte de "SECRETOS REVELADOS", la divertidísima narración nos lleva hasta el año1970, cuando es Alfred D. Herger quien trae a Puerto Rico al cantautor Español y 'Showman', Luisito Rey con Marcela, su mujer -en estado- para que naciera aquí, como ciudadano Americano, su hijo, el hoy astro internacional Luís Miguel.Hechos y 'secretos' nunca antes revelados, graciosas ocurrencias y muy serias situaciones que antes no se divulgaron, así como infinidad de fotos, datos biográficos de múltiples personalidades, documentos y memorabilia, redondean ésta significativa obra histórica.
