About the Book

The year is 2155 and the planet earth has been devastated by environmental damage heaped upon it through centuries of ever increasing abuse. It is a world in conflict where the deteriorating condition of life offers no hope; a planet that now resembles more of a nightmarish representation of Hell rather than the planet God entrusted unto humans to protect and enjoy. Based on projections which show the Earth will be unable to sustain human life in the near future, the leaders of the industrialized nations call together the best minds on the planet to determine what actions can be taken to try and preserve humanity. Three alternative strategies are chosen. The first strategy is to build biospheres capable of sustaining human life independent of the condition outside of their structures. These biospheres will continue research on nanotechnologies that appear capable of reversing environmental damage and eventually making the Earth again capable of sustaining human life The second alternative is to copy individual minds on a neurotransmitter-by-neurotransmitter, synapses -by-synapses, connection-by-connection basis and transferring the very essence of any human being into androids. These silicon based life forms will have powers and capabilities far beyond what nature has given human carbon based life forms. They will also be able to live on the Earth forever irrespective of environmental damage. The third alternative is to send a team of specialists back in time to change the manner in which humans evolved. Picking a point in time where changes could have been made that would have prevented mankind from self destructing. The book is told from the perspective of Josh Holloway the leader of the team chosen to go back in time. He explains how it is determined that the team needs to go back into the mid-sixteenth century and unite the Native American tribes that lived in North America into a combined confederacy that keeps Europeans for colonizing the Western Hemisphere. The director of the android project is an arrogant, uncompromising, determined ideologue who will do whatever it takes to stop the time travel effort and ensure his vision of how humans evolve prevails. The plot twists and turns as efforts to stop the jump back in time are countered and the team prepares for the most important undertaking in the history of our species. This book shows how Native American peoples loved nature, had sophisticated democracies, promoted religious freedoms, and had an almost mystical bond between them and nature. They felt God had put all things on earth for a reason and humans, being the highest form of life on the planet, were supposed to honor all of the forces of nature and to ensure the balance of nature continued. The book tracks the efforts to unite these people by convincing them an ancient prophet called the "Peacemaker" has been sent back to earth to protect them from the "white serpent" rising from the East. The book has been carefully researched. Predictions about the future are based on current scientific theory and the historic depictions are all fact based and accurate. Those reading this book will learn how the quality of life of future generations is being sacrificed due to humanities inability to come to grips with environmental problems. The reader will learn about each alternative chosen to deal with problems in the future. The book will educate the reader about the basic beliefs, cultural characteristics, and historic injustices perpetuated against the indigenous peoples who lived in the Western Hemisphere. Insight is also provided about European society and the colonists who first tried to establish permanent colonies in North America. This book provides a fascinating ride - it is insightful, educational, and thought provoking. You will be definitely glad you have read what these pages hold in store for you.
