About the Book

"Perhaps the greatest dichotomy we'll ever experience living on this side of eternity is the idea that the very thing we're most reticent to embrace, happens to be the very thing the finished work of Christ is set on accomplishing in our lives. Seasons are simply the language of change that the Divine Artisan, the Master Craftsmen uses in His eternal quest to mold you and shape you into the Mona Lisa, the Sistine Chapel - the earthen masterpiece the very Kingdom of God is set on pulling out of us." If we're honest, most of us don't give much thought to the subject of seasons until the moment our lives start feeling a little like Job. Lonely, abandoned, forsaken or in a word - hopeless. Instead of the intentional exercise of our God-given creative authority, our existence has become defined by a "batten down the hatches, hold on to your helmet and hope for the best" approach to life. I've learned that merely ignoring the details surrounding our season brings only fear and frustration, while embracing Heaven's agenda in that moment catalyzes the very thing Jesus came to give - freedom. It's one thing for us to look around and realize that we're in the middle of the wilderness, but it's another thing entirely to successfully navigate our way to the very thing that God has purposed for us. Using Moses' desert encounter with Divinity as the blueprint for our journey, we will learn how to climb the mountain, see the Glory and tell the people. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it's just as wide-open and spacious as you can possible imagine! Yet there is a catch. We were never meant to simply stand by the sidelines of life and await the "all too convenient" arrival of our deepest desires, hopes and dreams. We need clarity. We need perspective. We need interpretation. We need to know what God is up to, and better yet, how to respond. We need to know how to make it through our seasons.
About the Author: Kris loves Jesus. His deepest passion is to strip the purity of the gospel message of its rose-colored religious exterior, and get back to the weightier things. "Let's start talking about God again", is the cry of his heart for this generation. His lives with the love of his life Joanna, and their two kids Ethan and Elaine in Dallas, TX. He has a penchant for fancy root beer, french press coffee, any Mario game ever and needs to watch the cinematic masterpiece, "Nacho Libre", at least once a year.
