About the Book

Gold is still one of the most valuable commodities-One of the reasons is that we've always used it as currency. Gold captures our attention; we quickly get excited whether we see it in its natural form or purified state. Because our expectations for wealth accelerate immediately [when it is only Fools Gold, or it's the real thing], the value of Gold never diminishes. Gold is indestructible-par excellence (unequalled to any other gem or entity).

Gold never rusts. Gold never loses its quality. Gold spreads without cracking, has flexibility, and stretches without breaking. Gold is rare-all the Gold ever uncovered would possibly only fill three Olympic-sized swimming pools. We could praise the quality and endurance factors of the characteristics of Gold-we could spend eternity elaborating on how we could never have lived without Gold.

However, if there had never been such an entity as Gold-would we have placed our affections on some other product, one which we could value in the same fashion as we do Gold. What would we surmise could take the place of Gold? My thought is-how about Black Gold. It's not nearly as pretty, but Black Gold has proven to be of great value in its own right.
From The Beginning, God had a plan for and around the mineral we call gold.

The value of gold in this world has always been immense. Oil is almost the lifeblood of our planet; it's almost as if it's in our veins instead of the blood of life God created within us. What will we ever do when we run out of the oil mineral God also created, and why did He make oil? In The Beginning, every part of God's creation smacks of preparation-before our arrival via the soil-which He created after He thought intently about us!

God's overall purpose is for things to grow-including us. The issue of soil is essential to God. God made minerals in the ground. He made gold important in the scheme of His plan in creation. God did not only want us to get excited about the beauty and glitter of gold. By looking down the line of the existence of people, He knew we would have dependencies. One of those dependencies is money. But, moving along, people wanted to get wealth-personal worth beyond just the soil beneath their feet. Gold, compared to Black Gold (Oil)-doesn't nearly measure up in overall volume.

The dollar value of all the Gold in the world might be 10 Trillion dollars. The dollar value of all the oil reserves in the world must surpass that of gold by a long shot-I cannot find a number in dollars that would help us fashion a comparison chart. When I think of everything we've gained because we've discovered Oil (Black Gold), regarding the needs of our economies, it would seem that if we had to live without one or the other, we'd have to choose to discard Gold.

We often think that when God made dirt, He must have been unaware that we would disobey Him in the Garden of Eden. This thought is often confusing to us because we think, 'if God was aware of this, why did He even give us the concept of choice and put us in this vulnerable state of fleshly humanity-where we are prone to make mistakes over, and over, and over again!'

So, in our search for gold, do we remember God made us from the dirt to become more than just soil, for His purpose on earth to come about. We are the vessels in the Potter's hand, not the Potter; we are the creation, not the Creator; we didn't initiate life; God did! As we think of the commodity we call gold, we ought to consider it more than a physical reality. Pure gold comes from the fire of purification!

There's hardly anything we can talk about that's more important than Gold-or Black Gold. One thing that comes to mind for me is "Relationships!" In Searching For A Heart Of Gold; Not A Pot Of Gold, we will Search and Research [Re Search] for a value perspective that far supersedes Gold and Black Gold (Oil).
