About the Book

Hitler's Germany wins World War 2 !!

What if Germany had won World War 2 ?

To achieve this Germany would have had to defeat England. Then the war would never have become a world war. There were not many switches that would have had to change in order to divert the events in a slightly different direction to get a completely different course of history and a completely different Battle of Britain.

This alternative history novel describes the fictitious execution of the Operation Sealion, the invasion of England in July 1940, with a completely different strategy than in the original planning.

The content of the first novel is about the planning and the preparation of the landing. The landing itself and the subsequent conquest of England follow later in Volumes 2 and 3. Only a few prerequisites, entirely feasible at that time, would have been necessary to make the operation successful:

  • Hitler approves Sea Lion and its implementation in conjunction with the invasion of France after Dunkirk in June 1940.
  • The landing should have started as soon as possible after the fall of Dunkirk.
  • Messerschmitt 109s (Me 109), 110s (Me 110), and Ju 87s (Stuka dive bombers) are fitted with auxiliary drop fuel tanks in 1940.
  • The training of several German bomber units with a double role as torpedo bombers.
  • The beginning of the fight against the RAF infrastructure already at the beginning of July, instead of the senseless Channel fight.
  • The ultimative request to the Vichy government to hand over tanks, artillery, aircraft and merchant ships to the German Wehrmacht for use.
  • No bombardment of London but destruction of the RAF and Royal Navy.
  • The clear political and military will to carry out the invasion.
  • A landing initially primarily as an airborne landing.

My fictional story implements these requirements. It begins shortly before France's surrender. However, some of the inserts still have an earlier date, to explain some important prerequisites for the success of the operation.

The fictional story begins shortly before September 1939, the beginning of WWII. I have tried to remain factually accurate regarding actual events, dates, and equipment. There are no German long-range bombers, big navy ships, heavy tanks, sophisticated radar, or secret weapons. However, I have introduced two significant fictional events involving Göring and Churchill.

Hitler`s war begins!

A Personal Note From The Author:

1969, as a teenager visiting the US of A I saw the then new Movie "Battle of Britain" The film was brilliant and the theme never left me and developed into the question: How could a German invasion of England with the means available in July 1940 be done?

After four decades of thinking and research you´ll find the answer in this trilogy!
