Schulpolitik, Note: 1,0, Universität Duisburg-Essen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Den Rahmen der vorliegenden Staatsarbeit bildet das Projekt 'Naturwissenschaftlicher Unterricht (NWU Essen)', welches verschiedene Teilprojekte an der Universität Duisburg-Essen umfasst. Das Gesamtprojekt NWU Essen untersucht die Bedingungen schulischen Lernens auf Schulsystem- und Einzelschulebene. Hierbei stehen insbesondere die Kontextmerkmale für gelingenden naturwissenschaftlichen Unterricht im Mittelpunkt, so dass Maßnahmen für guten naturwissenschaftlichen Unterricht entwickelt werden sollen. Das Teilprojekt 'Schulsystem und Kultur der Einzelschule als Kontext des naturwissenschaftlichen Lernens in Schulen der Sekundarstufe I' wurde von Prof. Dr. Klaus Klemm beantragt und von der AG Bildungsforschung/ Bildungsplanung an der Universität Duisburg-Essen bearbeitet. In diesem Projekt werden die Bedingungen für das Zustandekommen von Lern- und Leistungsergebnissen im naturwissenschaftlichen Unterricht untersucht. Dabei stehen die Rahmenbedingungen des Fachunterrichts und das kulturelle Innenleben der einzelnen Schule im Mittelpunkt der Forschung. Die Analyse der Mesoebene umfasst Einzelfallstudien von 16 Gymnasien, wodurch die Schulkultur der Schulen erfasst werden soll. Acht Schulen befinden sich in Nordrhein- Westfalen, acht weitere Schulen wurden aus Schleswig-Holstein ausgewählt. Die Einzelfallstudien beschränken sich auf Gymnasien, da hier der naturwissenschaftliche Unterricht breit repräsentiert ist und PISA-Ergebnisse1 für alle Bundesländer nur für Gymnasien vorliegen. Die Fallstudien verfolgen unter anderem das Ziel die horizontale und vertikale Vernetzung der Naturwissenschaften festzustellen und die Kooperationsstrukturen des Kollegiums der jeweiligen Schule aufzuzeigen. Ein weiteres Ziel ist die Verankerung der Naturwissenschaften in den Schulprogrammen der 16 ausgewählten Schulen zu untersu
