Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Pädagogische Psychologie, Note: 1.0, Universität Bern (Erziehungswissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Abteilung Pädagogische Psychologie, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Steigende Ansprüche an das Bildungswesen betonen Qualitätsfragen seit den 1990er Jahren immer stärker. Was diese Qualität hingegen ausmacht und wie sie gesichert werden könnte, ist bis heute ungeklärt geblieben. In der einschlägigen Qualitätsdebatte scheint sich allerdings abzuzeichnen, dass im Bildungswesen in der Regel von einem technologischen, der Betriebswirtschaftslehre entlehnten Paradigma ausgegangen wird. Analog zur Evaluation von Betrieben wird diesem Paradigma zufolge die Qualität von Bildungssystemen bzw. -institutionen zunehmend auf deren Wirksamkeit bzw. Leistungen zurückgeführt. Meine These lautet demnach, dass bei der Evaluation von Bildungsinstitutionen bzw. -systemen in erster Linie Schulleistungen als zentrales Qualitätskriterium herangezogen werden. Ich stelle mir aufgrund dieser These die Frage, inwieweit sich diese Leistungssteuerung bereits in der Praxis auswirkt und inwiefern wissenschaftstheoretische Input-Output-Modelle schulischer Wirksamkeit diesen bildungspolitischen Trend legitimieren. Der Hauptteil ist in zwei Stränge aufgegliedert: Im ersten Teil wird der Paradigmenwechsel in der Steuerung des Schulwesens diskutiert Zunächst werde ich auf die Auslöser dieser neuen Schulsteuerungsmodelle hinweisen. In einem zweiten Schritt soll dieses neue Steuerungsparadigma vorgestellt werden. Das auf dieses Steuerungsparadigma zurück gehende New Public Management-Konzept wird anschliessend thematisiert. In einem abschliessenden Unterkapitel des ersten Stranges soll schliesslich am konkreten Beispiel der Bildungsstandards illustriert werden, inwiefern der Gedanke der Leistungssteuerung bereits Eingang in die Steuerung des Bildungswesens genommen hat. In einem zweiten Strang des Hauptteils werde ich den wissenschaftstheoretisch begründe
