Manch Didaktiker, Bildungspolitiker und Lehrer mag sich so ein Szenario nicht einmal vorstellen, aus gutem Grund, denn es herrscht die absurde Vorstellung in unseren Köpfen, dass in der Schule am Ende des Tages nur die Leistung zählt und etwas auf dem Papier stehen muss - alles andere ist eine Sechs. Schreiben in der Schule unterscheidet sich erheblich vom (beruflichen und literarischen) Schreiben außerhalb der Schule, das ist kein Geheimnis und auch keine Überraschung. Mit der erworbenen Textsortenkompetenz kann man außerhalb der Schule in den meisten Fällen nur sehr wenig anfangen. Der schulische Schreibunterricht bereitet die Schüler nicht auf die Schreibanforderungen im richtigen Leben vor, weil dort Texte und Textmuster im Fokus stehen, mit denen außerhalb der Schule niemand kommuniziert bzw. die niemanden interessieren, d.h. im Klartext: Adressatenbezug und die kommunikative Funktion des Schreibens stehen in der Schule unter dem Verdacht, bildungs-, lebens- und praxisfern zu sein. Mit einer Erörterung über Die Leiden des jungen Werther von Goethe schafft es mit Sicherheit kein Schüler in die Spiegel-Bestsellerliste.
