Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Kunst - Kunstgeschichte, Note: 1,0, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (Kunstgeschichtliches Institut), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Gleich zu Beginn des Films "Un Chien Andalou" von 1928 von Luis Buñel und Salvador Dali wird der Betrachter mit einer schockierenden Szenen konfrontiert; während ein Mann beobachtet (Abb. 1) wie eine herannahende Wolke den Mond zu durchschneiden droht (Abb. 4), wird der virtuelle Schnitt durch den Mond gleichzeitig in einer parallelen Szene als realer Schnitt in einen Frauenkörper durchgeführt (Abb. 2, 3, 5). Mit einer Rasierklinge schneidet eine Männerhand einer Frau durch ihr eines Auge und zerteilt dies. Dieser Schnitt durch das Auge der Frau hinterlässt einen schockierenden Eindruck auf den Betrachter. Dabei ist nicht nur die Zerteilung des Auges, sondern auch der Anblick der hellen Flüssigkeit aus dem verletzten Auge, die den Betrachter verstören (Abb. 6). Der (Augen)-Schnitt in den menschlichen Körper wird bei Buñels und Dalis Film den Zuschauern frontal vorgeführt. Die verstörende Wirkung des Schnitts entwickelt sich dabei in zweierlei Hinsicht, zum einen anhand dessen, was der Schnitt verursacht, das zerstörte und zerfließende Auge, und zum anderen wird mit dem Schnitt im übertragenen Sinn das angegriffen, was der Zuschauer in dem Moment des Sehens der Filmszene selber verwendet, das Auge. Doch auch wenn der Augenschnitt noch so erschreckend auf den Zuschauer wirkt, so kann man sich dem Eindruck nicht entziehen, dass es sich dabei nicht um eine bloße Verletzung in einem selbstzerstörerischen Sinne handelt. Da sich die Szenen, in denen der scheinbare Schnitt durch den Mond erfolgt, mit denen des tatsächlichen Augenschnitts abwechseln, wird auf den künstlerischen Kontext einer Filmproduktion verwiesen; auf den Filmschnitt.
