About the Book

Everyone thinks they're having a bad day. How about reliving childhood memories involving zombies, fairies, goblins, and man-eating trees? What if the girl of your dreams finally gives you the time of day only to have her consciousness ripped into a medallion you've had forever, and begins to read your thoughts? Awkward... Welcome to Andy's world. It won't end for him here. He and his brother Wes will be thrown into another realm on a mission to save a soul. They will adjust to newfound powers, face a goblin horde, dragons, demons, thieves, magicians, death; and they've just got their foot in the door. Can the group and their friends rescue the girl, unravel an evil master plan, right the wrongs from centuries past, and harness the powers of the gods? Andy can't even get to work on time, so it will at least be entertaining to see them try.
About the Author: Ripped from his natural habitat as a young boy, Phil was transplanted into the state of California. With a natural affinity for the cooler climate, Phil nearly succumbs to death by heat stroke each and every year as his northern California surroundings average 100+ degrees for what seems to be nine months. Naturally these near death experiences would cause his mind to seek shelter deep within. In these places he could find escape from the dreary world. Little did he know, in his lifetime, these locales and ideas would find an exit and be unleashed on the masses. His first book, a fantasy novel titled "The Schala", began taking shape when he was just a teenager. A few chapters were written, ideas sketched, and promptly discarded. It wasn't until literally decades later his wife while cleaning happened upon his tattered notebook and quickly devoured the material. She asked questions...sooooo many questions...lots of questions; enough questions that the once dormant world reopened to his consciousness and escaped once again into a physical manifestation. Phil admittedly is not an author or a writer. He did however realize that he had a good story to tell, and that even though he was not a master (probably not even an apprentice) of the craft, that on average there would be readers out there that the brisk writing style would appeal to. The first story, he came to discover, was too vast to contain within one book. As he plotted out the timeline, character arcs, and history of his created world; he knew it would take three novels to complete-each one larger than the previous. This made his head hurt. So he did what any person would do when life seems overly complicated-he reverted to childhood mentality. With this break from adulthood he discovered new ideas abound in his head, something deep but more simplistic somehow: "Children's Books" Somewhere between writing music, writing novels/children's books, and raising his two children with his wonderful wife, Phil still manages to torture himself with a 40+ hour a week job. In time he holds out hope that the author within him will be freed from the forty hour a week "nine to five".
