About the Book

Through the obstacles of life, one can only hope to make it, or give up and fail at it. At times you will feel the need to quit; thoughts of worthlessness will permeate your mind and if you are not careful consume your soul. But in the depth of it all is where you dig deep and find your strength in Him, God that is, the Creator of all that is just and unjust. Man's understanding of life is based on what he or she sees and feels, not so much as what is at the end of the road. Yes situations may be difficult, in that you feel entrapped in numerous chains of discomfort and betrayal, but that is just a storm; it will pass and the chains will be broken. The comfort that you need to succeed is not in man, but in the relationship you have with God, for it is He that helped me through my chains and He will do the same for you...
About the Author: Kadijatu E. Kamara was born on June 29, 1985 in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Growing up in West Africa, she attended the Merewether Preparatory School, Ronsabs, and the Freetown Secondary School for Girls. In the early 2000's she traveled to the United States to further her education at Glendale High School in Arizona. Kadijatu graduated with a scholarship from the Golden Wheel Organization, and was admitted at Grand Canyon University but later moved out of state to earn her Bachelor's degree in Humanity and Social Science at Lorenzo University USA. Kadijatu takes pride in giving back to the community. She volunteers at Community Action Council, where she has received a "Volunteer of the Month" award. Her other accomplishments include being a 2005 beauty pageant contestant in Miss Arizona Teen USA, and modeling with SiaSolmons Fashion Designs. She was the first black gospel artist to be featured in Argus Leader, a USA Today Network Newspaper in Sioux Falls South Dakota, for her unwavering efforts to organize a Christmas concert for children. Kadijatu's inspiration for the event came after the birth of her first daughter Saldija Lois. Kadijatu has been a "Wonder Woman" since 2006 when she was asked by her dance teacher to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner," the national anthem of the United States of America at the Phoenix Suns game. The Phoenix Suns are a professional basketball team based in Phoenix, Arizona. Since then, she has been taking over the stage every time she sings. Between her hosting events, and working with top musicians and movie producers/directors, she managed to get in the studio and work on her gospel music in 2016. The road to success for Kadijatu hasn't been easy, but she never gave up on herself. She is multi-talented in the performing arts of dancing, singing, acting and fashion and for her the sky is the limit. Her fear of God has kept her sane and humble throughout her struggles in life, but she never gave up as she continues to strive for positivity and success in her life. Her mother, Lucinda Katta and father, Abdurrahman Kamara raised their daughter to fear God. They instilled in her respect and motivation to thrive with the emphasis to succeed. Kadijatu is a motivated, energetic and talented young woman who always has a welcoming smile on her face.
