Les sasquatches sont des créatures insaisissables. Elles ont été observées si rarement que les sceptiques prétendent qu'elles n'existent pas. Ceux qui y croient disent que Bigfoot ou le Bushman est notre chaînon manquant, un croisement entre l'homme et le singe humain. Cette créature poilue marche debout et mesure environ 1,80 mètre. Il pourrait peser fièrement 600 livres. Un grizzly pourrait s'enfuir devant lui. Il a été aperçu la plupart du temps dans les forêts et les montagnes de Portland, de la Colombie-Britannique et des Territoires du Nord-Ouest, même si c'est à peine. En gros, partout où l'homme civilisé n'est pas présent !
Mais la civilisation se rapproche de plus en plus !
C'est l'histoire d'une famille Sasquatch qui part de l'Etat de Washington, traverse la Colombie-Britannique puis le Yukon pour suivre le gibier et trouver une protection contre les hommes. Il y a Harry, le père, sa compagne Harriet et leurs deux fils, Junior, l'équivalent d'un adolescent de 18 ans, et Little Junior, qui n'est qu'un adolescent, âgé d'environ 12 ans.
Les méchants de l'histoire sont les Exposés rares Inc, une entreprise appartenant à un entrepreneur nommé Ben Boucher, qui veut absolument attraper l'un de ces spécimens pour son spectacle de cirque. Ajoute à cela des chasseurs à cou rouge comme Big Mac et Little Jimmy, équipés de fusils 308 avec lunette de visée, et nous avons tout ce qu'il faut pour une intrigue incendiaire qui démasque le mal de la cupidité humaine.
Mais le ranger Bob Evans et deux guides, Hanta et Roy, les fils du chef, interviennent pour protéger les yétis, s'il y en a dans la région de Whitehorse, au Yukon. Le sergent Brett Wilson de la GRC et son assistante, le sergent Penny Jennings, veillent également à ce que les chasseurs armés de fusils n'enfreignent pas la loi.
Au début, Little Jimmy et Big Mac voulaient se venger en chassant la famille Sasquatch dans le sanctuaire des grizzlis Khutzeymateen. Mais quand ils s'installent à Stewart, B.C., ils trouvent des emplois et des petites amies. Elles deviennent en fait une partie de la ville. Finalement, elles changent d'avis sur la vengeance et la récompense en argent. Ils deviennent sédentaires.
De plus, j'ai pris un autre tournant inattendu en intégrant de la science-fiction dans l'histoire. J'ai découvert qu'en tant qu'auteur, je peux donner le ton de mon histoire à n'importe quelle forme.
Des extraterrestres d'un autre monde, Enkidu, viennent sauver leurs parents, les Sasquatch, des éons. Ils ressemblent aux Sasquatch, ce qui souligne que les apparences sont trompeuses. Ils sont technologiquement en avance sur les humains et viennent pour sauver d'autres de leur espèce: le Yéti, le Yowie et l'Otang en Afrique du Sud. La Terre n'est pas étrangère à leurs visites !

Le capitaine Ghi du vaisseau Star Bright est capable de téléporter en un clin d'oeil les réfugiés de son espèce sur sa planète d'origine. Il suffit de dire que cela a quelque chose à voir avec l'intrication quantique.
Pendant ce temps, Little Jimmy et Big Mac se sont construits une vie respectable. Leurs amies et la communauté de Stewart, B.C., les appellent simplement Jim et Mac. L'ironie du sort veut que les anciens méchants deviennent en quelque sorte les voisins des Sasquatches, qui ont trouvé refuge au Grizzly Bear Sanctuary près de Stewart, B.C..
