Şapte zile, două suflete, o viaţă, romanul ziaristului şi politicianului Sorin Diaconescu, fost membru al Parlamentului României, surprinde prin originalitate, prin arhitectura savantă şi în acelaşi timp uşor de urmărit, prin acuitatea introspecţiei psihologice, prin viaţa, gândirea şi trăirile insuflate personajelor.
Poeta Nuţa Istrate Gagan ne vorbeşte astfel despre această carte:

„Unde poţi păstra dragostea pentru cineva, mai bine decât într-o carte? (...) Cândva, nişte nebuni au ars cărţi pentru diferite motive. Dar cărţile, ca şi sufletul omului, nu se distrug prin simpla dispariţie a materiei" - am recitit acest fragment doar pentru că nu mai ştiu dacă eu l-am scris sau doar l-am copiat de pe ecranul ăsta lucios.
Citesc o carte în care poezia se împleteşte cu proza, la naiba îmi spun, chestia asta nu poate funcţiona, ori e albă ori e neagră - citesc - şi încetul cu încetul îmi dau seama că funcţionează. Nu alb, nu negru, ci violet, o culoare care revine iar şi iar, cu diferite nuanţe, în fiecare poezie, în fiecare scrisoare, în fiecare pagină de jurnal, în fiecare trăire aşternută pe hârtie simplu, sincer, fără pretenţii şi, mai ales, fără aşteptare.
Pentru că bărbatul din carte scrie cuiva.
Unei femei.
Care poate există. Sau poate nu. Care poate fi suma tuturor femeilor care i-au trecut prin viaţă, prin inimă sau prin pat.
Femeia aceasta este „The Russian Doll" Matrioşka, cea care a cuprins în ea toate femeile pe care el le-a iubit astăzi, ieri, cândva... Pe care o să le iubească zilnic, începând de mâine...
Şi, ca să mă convingă de absoluta ei existenţă inexistentă, autorul nu îmi lasă nicio îndoială „Am iubit cu patimă şi de puţine ori."
Intens şi calitativ, am zâmbit.
Combinaţia mortală.

Citesc o carte, un fel de combinaţie ciudată, vers şi proză şi realizez că mă atrage, că vreau să pătrund în mintea autorului, că vreau să văd prin ochii lui, că vreau să mă agăţ de ultimele cuvinte şi să întreb şi eu:
„Cine sunt eu pentru tine?
Nu ştiu, ştiu însă ce eşti tu pentru mine: prietenul meu cel mai bun, mereu cu mine, simţindu-mi durerile şi tristeţile, injecţia subcutanată de încredere, dragostea aceea din filmele vechi şi bune pe care eu doream să o trăiesc în realitate...
Crezi asta?"
Cred.
Uneori cred.
Pentru că, dincolo de faptul că puţine lucruri îmi plac în mod deosebit, cred că există o conexiune între oamenii care, inexistent, există.
