How can music impact how we interact with the world on a spiritual level? God created music for us to manipulate and mold so that every person can create their one variation of music. The world is full of genres and styles of music that have been crafted by people with unique visions for a song. In the same way, God has given us each breath. We are alive, and how we live that life is up to us. We mold and shape our actions. But are we shaping our lives into a self-centered life, or are we bending our lives to match with God's plan?
In this book, Jaymes Brown talks about how we can learn from the similarities in music and in our own personal Christian journeys. He discusses these parallels in terms of seven different musical attributes:
* Melody - How we hear God.
* Harmony - How we relate to God.
* Dissonance - How we rebel from God.
* A Cappella - How we imitate faith.
* Resolution - How we return to God.
* Chorus - How we work together.
* Reprise - How we share our story.
Hopefully, as we learn more about music and our relationship with God, we will be inspired by the sounds around us. Music and God will motivate us to strive to sing that perfect song of salvation.
