About the Book

Salt is decimating the Black American community.

Black Americans suffer salt-related health consequences two to six times more often than do White Americans, at far younger ages. And their health challenges are two to six times more acute.

Salt: Black America's Silent Killer examines how and why salt is cutting Black American lives short-and compromising so many others-at such an alarming rate. Once you understand that process, reducing salt intake will sound like a pretty logical and easy solution.

It's time to take control of your health, improve your immune system and kick this silent killer to the curb. Start reading Salt: Black America's Silent Killer TODAY.

"Dr. Neravetla has the mind of a scientist, the medical mind of a master surgeon and the heart of a warrior. The war he's chosen to fight, for all our sakes, is the war against unconscious self-destruction through the seemingly innocuous act of eating salt. And his weapon of choice is this scientifically robust, yet passionate rallying cry to all people of African descent (myself and my family included) to reverse our collective fates by watching what we put in our mouths." -Tara-Nicholle Nelson, Esq., founder, RETHINK Multimedia

About the Author:

Dr. Surender Neravetla, author of the critically acclaimed book Salt Kills, is the director of cardiac surgery at Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield, Ohio. While efforts by numerous organizations worldwide to create awareness about the dangers of adding salt to our food are yielding only limited success, Dr. Neravetla's book Salt Kills, along with his regular blog writings and frequent public presentations, has already encouraged thousands to reduce the salt in their food.

Dr. Neravetla obtained his medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. After arriving in the United States, he trained in general surgery at Jewish Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and in cardio-vascular surgery at the University of Cincinnati. In 1998, he started the heart surgery program at Springfield Regional Medical Center. The cardiac program has since been recognized nationally in the area of coronary artery bypass surgery for achieving the highest quality at the lowest cost.

Over the last three decades, Dr. Neravetla has performed more than 10,000 cardiac, vascular and lung surgeries. He is known for beating-heart bypass surgery, valve repairs and lung resections using state-of-the-art robotic technology. His vast expertise in carotid artery surgery makes him one of the country's most experienced surgeons in this area as well as one of the most successful when it comes to surgical results.

The Consumers' Research Council of America has recognized Dr. Neravetla as one of "America's Top Surgeons." His colleagues awarded him "The Golden Stethoscope," given to the hospital's most outstanding physician.

Despite Dr. Neravetla's surgical excellence, he is passionate about helping people avoid his services by improving their cardio-vascular health.
