About the Book

Numerology and Astrology were held in high regard by many ancient cultures. In modern times they are looked down upon as being unscientific. SailerScopes is a system designed to bring the art of divination back into the realm of modern scientific inquiry. A recipe for creating Numerology and Astrology profiles for careers is presented in these pages. The results of matching personal charts to careers are obtained by simple math and do not require the special skills of a trained diviner. A variety of career profiles are presented and are tested against the charts of famous individuals. This book was designed to be used as a textbook for classes in basic divination skills. The author is of the opinion that Astrology and Numerology should be presented together to beginning students, as Numerology is the foundation of all divination methods. Books that make good companions to SailerScopes Career Profiling are Numerology and the Divine Triangle by Faith Javane and Dusty Bunker, Master Numbers by Faith Javane, The Rulership Book by Rex E. Bills, The Combination of Stellar Influences by Reinhold Ebertin, Midpoints: Unleashing the Power of the Planets by Michael Munkasey, The Northern Moon node: the message from the beyond by Sebastian van Wingerden, The Astrologer's Node Book by Donna Van Toen, Planets in Containment: A study of 900 combinations by John Sandbach and Ronn Ballard, and Asteroids in Midpoints by Emma Belle Donath. Professional numerologists may find something new in the methods for extracting information from birth dates and names. Name numerology in the SailerScopes style is shown to be very powerful for determining career compatibility. Life coaches will enjoy learning how easy it is to improve on career scores through modifications to their clients public names. Professional astrologers may take an interest in reviewing how SailerScopes handles the concept of planetary containments. The use of opening and closing planets around personal points and angles essentially takes the concept of Gauquelin zones to the next level. SailerScopes also provides a methodology for studying the meanings of a variety of asteroids and other planetary objects through matching them to various career profiles. Relocation astrologers can use the concepts presented in SailerScopes as a quick method of determining how moves to new cities will affect their clients' chances for career success. Teachers of middle and high school students will find this book interesting for developing lesson plans for their students. Basic math concepts such as percentages and modes can be taught along with the numerology profiles of interesting careers. Students can learn something about themselves while doing their math assignments by comparing their personal numerology to the career profiles. Older students can be taught database management skills by having them build profiles for careers that are of interest to them personally. The Astrology section of the book can be used in creating Astronomy lessons about the constellations. Students can use online software to generate their own horoscopes and then match their charts to the actual positions of the constellations in the night sky. This book provides instruction on how to erect star-based chart wheels. The sidereal zodiac of 13 signs is used in profiling for SailerScopes. This book can also be used to enhance the study of planets to include centaurs, asteroids and transpluto objects. Students can study their own horoscopes to see which of these objects are strong in their own charts, based on the methods of chart reading used in SailerScopes. SailerScopes is a unique system which simplifies the process of reading an Astrology chart and also draws parallel connections to Numerology. New insights into the calculation methods for both systems of divination can be found here. This book provides plenty of content for beginners and professionals who wish to teach or give lectures about divination.
About the Author: V.A. Sailer was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she attended UWM, earning a BS degree in Botany and gaining valuable research experience working in the university's physics labs. After graduation Sailer fled the states to seek adventure in foreign lands. During the 1980's she lived and worked in Mexico doing research in physics and renewable energy. She left for Mexico armed with a handful of books about Astrology and Numerology which she had purchased at the legendary bookstore Sanctum Regnum located in downtown Milwaukee. She had the idea of comparing the two genres of divination to see if they would give similar results. Her travels in Mexico included a long stay in the Yucatan Peninsula where she worked alongside an engineer who was from a family of Theosophists. He was Sailer's first and only mentor in Astrology. One of the highlights of her journey through the Mayan region was the frequent visits to the pyramid site of Chichen-Itza. Sailer enjoyed climbing the astronomy observatory there known as El Caracol. The original idea for this book came from the class notes of a Mayan woman named Zarandoa who taught numerology in CanCun, Mexico during the mid 90's. In 1989 Sailer completed a Master's degree in Computer Programming at the prestigious research center CINVESTAV - Mexico City . She owes a huge debt of gratitude to the Mexican government for providing her with a full scholarship. Sailer returned to the United States in 1990 with her husband and their first child. A second child was born to the family in 1993. Sailer's next adventure was teaching math and science in the Utah public education system. She earned her teaching license and a BS degree in Earth Science from Utah Valley State College in 2005. Her geology professors took the classes into the wild to learn how to read the land and gain knowledge about earth history. This experience taught her how to extract useful patterns of information from apparently random sources. This book is the result of applying those talents to the field of divination. Sailer currently devotes her attention to full-time research into the divinatory arts of Numerology and Astrology, when she is not out rockhounding in the outback of the western states. She also enjoys being the grandmother of two wonderful grandchildren. Sailer likes hunting for gemstones and meteorites. She refers to it as "touching the stars". As she sees it, the stars and planets are just bigger rocks and sometimes they fall from the sky.
