What is the gift of the Sacred Samisen? Passed from one generation to the next is one's innate passion; one's need to express their soul story in verse and song. The gift of the Sacred Samisen is therefore the gift of consciousness as one's personal muse. I once dreamed of someone I knew wherein the person's head spun round and round. After some contemplation, I realized the dream demonstrated the multidimensional perceptions of consciousness; that each of us has the potential to explore untapped channels of the mind, thereby allowing into waking consciousness boundless wisdom. When accessed, this Cosmic Knowingness can help humans better manifest their most divine reality. It is a process that artists, scientists, mystics, inventors and musicians throughout history have utilized for personal inspiration. As it is innate to all humanity, though, everyone has this power to connect with the inner wisdom existing beyond their waking realm.Aware of such a process, I've concluded the only way to express the elevated beauty and knowledge of my dreams is to set them to verse. Indeed, mentioned 24 times in the Bible, the lute and/or lyre has traditionally held a special significance. Indeed, the lute manifesting in my dreams seemed metaphorical for one's personal connection with their Inner Muse. Merged by the spark of imagination, the inner-sound of beliefs and the inner-light of emotions are thus transformed into our three-dimensional reality through one's Original Grace-the infinite probabilities constantly available for manifestation. Upon waking, there may linger a vision, feeling or the echo of words spoken in a dream-those intangibles having direct and indirect influence upon what will be expressed in waking reality. In this, our journey of becoming, we seek to express what is uniquely ours while yearning to connect with the Original Alignment of the Collective Unconscious. Traditional reference to the Muse is often riddled with vagueness and inconsistency. Forever, artists and musicians have laid claim to their precious muses, often insisting such inspiration comes from an outside source and is perchance. Yet herein, I propose there remains no mystery. For, whether seemingly through nature or a so-called external entity, true inspiration indicates an alignment with one's Inner Self.
