Entonces, nos dimos cuenta de que la historia era, toda, una obra de teatro, como dice San Agustín y, que cada uno de nosotros representaba, permanentemente, personajes de toda alcurnia y calaña, sin importar su condición de maldad o bondad, porque la historia es el juego dialéctico entre ellas, que se excluyen y se contienen, mutuamente. Allí, éramos máscaras cambiantes, en ese drama necesario, inevitable, de la vida.Máscaras que van y vienen con cada contacto humano; con cada sonrisa, con cada risa, con cada rabia, con cada lágrima. Con cada juramento en falso, con cada promesa rota, con cada engaño (POLITICA DOLI MAGISTRA EST).Un día cualquiera, como este; aburrido y triste, con relámpagos de otoño humano, se acaba la vida; nos arranca la muerte la última máscara, y deja, ¡por fin!, al descubierto nuestro rostro.Justo, cuando ya no podremos verlo... "Este, es una especie de epígrafe con que comienza el libro. "Especie de," porque lo escribió el mismo autor del libro. No es de autor ajeno.El libro consta de dos partes: la primera es un corto ensayo como homenaje-recordatorio a/de la mujer, como víctima (no la única), a través de la historia.Aparecen los patriarcalismos judío y greco-romano, como causantes de estas exclusión y explotación.Tomando referencias de la Biblia, las que más convienen (hay en el Génesis, una muy importante que se ignora), el patriarcalismo ubica a la mujer en una situación de sometimiento al varón. Pero, el proceso es más profundo: se crea una desigualdad teológica de la mujer, al negarle acceso al orden sacerdotal, a "dotarse con lo sagrado," con lo que implica eso para el resto de las relaciones sociales, en sociedades profundamente religiosas (así enuncien un carácter laico) como son las regidas por "las religiones del Libro." La mujer no participó en la redacción de los libros sagrados (el evangelio de María Magdalena ha sido considerado apócrifo) y el judeo-cristianismo la marcó con la culpa de la Caída por la cual tuvo que aguantar las maldiciones del Creador.A pesar de lo breve del ensayo, el autor, inclusive acudiendo a la etimología, da una visión histórico-ideológica acerca de cómo se ha justificado el sometimiento de la mujer, y hace un llamado a abrir las puertas que le han negado su dignidad humana. A sabiendas de que esas puertas no se abrirán desde dentro.La segunda parte y la mayor en volumen, está hecha de poemas de todo tipo: románticos, religiosos, existencialistas y políticos en los cuales se hace ver que la estética está en el compromiso que implica el mensaje como expresión de protesta contra la violencia de todo tipo, especialmente contra la despiadada violencia de su patria que, como siempre, se ha ensañado con los más débiles.
