For author Evelyn E. Brooks, The Root of Hebrews 10:26 has been both a challenge and a burden for her to write. In April of 2011, she received a profound vision from God. In the years following, she went through a period of deep spiritual development before she was finally ready to put that experience into manuscript form and share her revelation with the world.
This book details an experience Brooks had while directly in the presence of Jesus. In this encounter, she sees a large Egyptian-style temple with layers of stairs ascending up as far as the eye can see, a long rectangular bench of people staring straight ahead in silence, and, most importantly, a white-robed Jesus with colorful eyes that move like the ocean.
During this event, Jesus calls upon Brooks to be a messenger, akin to Jonah, to the Christians of the world who have backslidden in their walks with God. He quotes the scriptures to encourage these Christians to turn back to him and to repent from making the conscious decision to sin once they have learned the truth.
Jesus makes it clear that if they do not, the judgment of hell is very real.
