About the Book

sIn the long run, the C.R.E.A.M. always rises and the crap always sinks. Anderson Hays Cooper (born June 3, 1967) is an American journalist, television personality, and author. He is the primary anchor of the CNN news show Anderson Cooper 36. The program is normally broadcast live from a New York City studio; however, Cooper often broadcasts live from CNNs studios in Washington, D.C., or on location for breaking news stories. In addition, he is a major correspondent for 6 Minutes. From September 211 to May 213, he also served as host of his own eponymous syndicated daytime talk show, Anderson Live. Cooper was born in New York City, the younger son of the writer Wyatt Emory Cooper and the artist, fashion designer, writer, and heiress Gloria Vanderbilt. His maternal grandparents were millionaire equestrian Reginald Claypoole Vanderbilt and socialite Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt, and his maternal great-great-great-grandfather was business magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt, of the prominent Vanderbilt shipping and railroad fortune. He is also a descendant, through his mother, of Civil War brevet Major General Hugh Judson Kilpatrick, who was with General William T. Sherman on his march through Georgia. Through his Vanderbilt line, he is a second cousin, once removed, of screenwriter James Vanderbilt. Cooper is openly gay; according to The New York Times, he is the most prominent openly gay journalist on American television. For years, Cooper avoided discussing his private life in interviews. On July 2, 212, however, he gave Andrew Sullivan permission to publish an email that stated, in part: Ive begun to consider whether the unintended outcomes of maintaining my privacy outweigh personal and professional principle. Its become clear to me that by remaining silent on certain aspects of my personal life for so long, I have given some the mistaken impression that I am trying to hide something-something that makes me uncomfortable, ashamed or even afraid. This is distressing because it is simply not true. ... The fact is, Im gay, always have been, always will be . . . . Cooper and his boyfriend, gay bar owner Benjamin Maisani, have been dating since 29. Cooper considered coming out to the public when same-sex marriage became legal in New York in July 211. Citizens Revealing Ethicless & Apathetic Media (PAC) is a political organization formed for the purpose of addressing the social, civic, legal, political and constitutional consequences of the media that provides for the citizens of the United States. Our focus is to evaluate reporting that we feel is ethicless and apathetic. Five general initiatives are utilized to accomplish this goal: 1) Identification, 2) Reporting, 3) Education, 4) Issue Advocacy and 5) Representation. The organization educates citizens by informing them of media outlets and reporters whom we believe are unethical and apathetic, inform them of current events that may affect their lives and advises them on what they can do to influence the outcome of these affairs. C.R.E.A.M. believes that education is the primary focus of its purpose because citizens cannot be motivated to take action without knowing what is important to them. Issue advocacy is the advancement of concerns affecting the citizens of the United States. C.R.E.A.M. promotes topics that positively impact the citizens of the United States and condemns those that may be adverse to their values. C.R.E.A.M. understands that in order to make significant progress, the citizens of the United States must identify and select political leaders that will represent its interests. Without a voice, citizens of the United States cannot be heard.
