About the Book

Robinson Crusoe is a novel that revolves around a man named Robinson Crusoe, who finds himself stranded on a lonely island, which eventually brings about a positive change in his life. Summary Of The Book Crusoe, the protagonist of the novel, is on a sea voyage from the Queen’s Dock, Hull, contrary to his parent’s wishes. His parents wanted him to pick a career for himself, possibly in law. Even after his ship is wrecked by a storm, Crusoe’s passion for the sea makes him start once again. However, this time, his ship is captured by Sale’ pirates, and Crusoe is oppressed by a Moor. After two long years, Crusoe is able to escape from the hands of these pirates with the help of a young man named Xury. A Portuguese sailing captain helps Crusoe find his way to Brazil, where he is able to start his sugar plantation. He begins to make a great deal of money, and then desires to bring slaves from Africa. However, he is shipwrecked, and eventually lands up on a lonely island. During his time on the island, he begins to plant rice, corn, and barley, and makes furniture, pots, and baskets. He also begins to raise goats, and takes care of his dogs, cats, and a parrot. Crusoe’s belief in God also gets stronger, as he spends a great deal of time reading the Bible and praying. One day, Crusoe finds a footprint on the shore, which leaves him surprised as this meant that there were other people on the island as well, who were actually cannibals. Crusoe then meets a native named Friday, whom he manages to rescue from the cannibals. He then begins to teach Friday the English language, and then converts him to Christianity. What kind of a relationship do Crusoe and Friday have? What do they do to ensure the safety of Friday’s father? Who are the new visitors on the island? Are they capable of helping Crusoe return home? What does Crusoe do to appease the new visitors? Does Crusoe’s life return to normal? Robinson Crusoe answers these questions and more. A Thrilling But Totally Believable Murder Mystery

Read this in one evening. I had planned to do other things with my day, but it was impossible to put down. Every time I tried, I was drawn back to it in less than 5 minutes. I sobbed my eyes out the entire last 100 pages. Highly recommend!
