OVERWHELMED BY LIFE?
SLOW DOWN AND LEARN THE HOW TOS.
When does playing music go from formidable to fun? It starts getting fun when you feel the rhythm and join in. In the same way, the Christian life gets more doable when you take the time to learn its rhythms. Knowing what we ought to do only leaves us feeling guilty until we take time to learn the how tos. That's the point of this book.
Rhythms walks you through thirteen rhythms of the Christian life, including:
- How to learn and unlearn habits
- How to pray
- How to suffer well
- How to live in community
- How to forgive people
- How to make a disciple
- How to read the Bible
In Real Life Theology Handbook, McCoy and Jit showed that the basics of theology are understandable and worth building our lives on. In this follow-up to the Handbook, they show that the basic practices of the Chris- tian life are doable and life-giving.
