Das erwartete Renteneinkommen der zweiten Säule in den USA basiert typischerweise auf 401 (k)- plans, welche zwar steuerbegünstigt, aber vollkommen von der Entwicklung am Finanzmarkt abhängig sind. Ebenso verschärft die hohe Anzahl erwerbszentrierter Vorsorgepläne die Lage und reduziert erwartete Auszahlungen. Besonders betroffen sind Personen kurz vor dem Erreichen des Renteneintrittsalters, für die der Verfall dauerhafte Einkommensausfälle bedeutet. Langfristig ergibt sich bei fondsgebundenem Vorsorgesparen eine angemessen hohe Rendite, die Auswirkungen der Rezession bekommen vorwiegend Kohorten der Geburtsjahrgänge während des und kurz nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg zu spüren. Dabei beschränken sich die Einbußen nicht nur auf defined contribution funds (in welchen sich direkt der Wert der individuellen Accounts verringert), sondern betreffen zusätzlich defined benefit plans durch sich aus geringeren Vermögenswerten ergebende finanzielle Solvenz, die sich auf die Auszahlhöhe auswirkt. Wie obige Grafik zeigt, haben insbesondere amerikanische Anleger Nachteile zu verzeichnen, während die Verluste betriebsbezogener Rentenfonds in Deutschland unterhalb der Einbußen in Schweden liegen. ...
