Dans le cas des phalanges le temoignage de Xenophon atteste, par sa date haute, une diffusion precoce de savoirs iologiques precis, notamment le lien causal entre symptomes critiques et morsure de la veuve noire mediterraneenne (Latrodectus tredecimguttatus Rossi) qui n'est pourtant pas facile a etablir. Pauline Belin. - Le concept de consuetudo dans les traites rhetoriques de Ciceron Cet article se propose d'explorer les implications du terme consuetudo dans les traites rhetoriques ciceroniens ou le terme est utilise: De inuentione, 84-83 av. J.-C., De oratore, 55 av. J.-C., Brutus, 46 av. J.-C., Orator, 46 av. J-C., et les Partitiones oratoriae, 46 av. J.-C. Cette etude du terme de consuetudo entend retracer les origines du concept linguistique de consuetudo, formule par Ciceron et repris par Quintilien dans l'elaboration de son Institution oratoire, et precisera les liens entre le sens general du terme et l'acception proprement linguistique qu'il acquiert, tout en eclaircissant les enjeux de ces differentes acceptions. En outre, l'article propose une edition critique et un commentaire philologique de ces inscriptions. Un lien avec le terme latin seruus, ainsi qu'une origine etrusque semblent peu admissibles. La valeur non comptable de cette formule, tres probablement heritee, s'y trouve confirmee. Gerd Van Riel, Victor Gysembergh. - L'Athena de Sais dans l'In Timaeum de Proclus Dans sa discussion du mythe de l'Atlantide, raconte par un pretre de Sais dans le Timee de Platon, Proclus se tourne vers la relation entre la deesse Athena et la cite de Sais en Egypte septentrionale. L'une des connexions astrologiques mentionnees par Proclus est qu'Athena etait un des astres arctiques. Dans ce contexte, le texte recu du Commentaire sur le Timee de Proclus fait reference a certains qui lient Athena a la lune qui est la-bas. Dans cet article nous analysons les diverses explications et emendations du texte. Nous examinons leur valeur par rapport aux speculations astronomiques des Egyptiens et des Grecs, mettant a profit de recentes decouvertes sur la transmission textuelle du commentaire de Proclus. Ines Warburg. - De Lerina insula: tradicion manuscrita, textos y edicion El poema De Lerina insula, atribuido a Dinamio de Marsella ( 595 c.), celebra en disticos elegiacos la fundacion cristiana de San Honorato mediante una serie de topicos tradicionales sobre la isla santa y sus habitantes. Dos codices de Isidoro de Sevilla (ms. Klosterneuburg 723 del siglo XII y ms. Gottweig 64 (78) del siglo XIII) incluyen la coleccion de inscripciones romanas conocida como Sylloge Turonensis; en el apendice de esta siloge se conserva el poema - no epigrafico y no romano - de Dinamio. Esta contribucion propone una edicion critica del poema a partir de ambos testimonios, ya que las dos ediciones del siglo XIX se basan alternativamente en copias de uno de los dos manuscritos: la primera edicion de 1888, en una copia de Klosterneuburg 723 y la segunda edicion de 1897, en una copia de Gottweig 64. Los testimonios derivan de un ascendiente en comun, pero ambos textos son independientes y complementarios.
