About the Book

As I searched the internet seeking Christian books for my son to read, I found it very difficult to find Christian fiction for young boys. My mission was simple, find a book that was clean, had action and adventure, and reinforced our Biblical beliefs. We read all that we could, but soon we ran out of books. The Reverend Officer is a story I wrote as a way to help my son stay engaged as he grew stronger in his reading ability. In the CADET, Mario (Rev) is introduced to the idea of law enforcement as a career path. Join him has he seeks to find God's will for his life while building Christian friendships and seeking Christian mentors. He does this while also helping Chief Schnittker find a city drug dealer that is causing teens across their city to die from opioid overdoses. In this story you will see examples of faith, healing and redemption through the eyes of a teen boy.
About the Author: Chief Tom Saccenti has spent 20 years working at police departments across the country. During his career he has worked as a police officer, supervisor, detective and Police Chief. He has also spent 20 years working as a volunteer in his local church. His primary ministry focus has been service to the Royal Rangers ministry, a ministry that he grew up in as a boy. Chief Tom credits much of his success in his career to the lessons learned through this ministry. He has received degrees from Marion Technical College, Trine University and the University of Cincinnati. He has served as an adjunct professor for West Virginia University and Greenville Technical College. In addition to his career and academic work, he is an entrepreneur, serving as the founder of the OPOTA SPO study guide app, the National Association of Campus Safety Administrators, and the Peace Officers for Christ Association. Since 2013 Chief Tom has travelled the country teaching active shooter survival techniques in schools, colleges, and churches. He has trained over 30,000 individuals in the S.A.F.E. technique which he originally developed to assist his local school district. He is also a national presenter on media violence and how it influences the teenage brain. Having attended Mansfield First Assembly of God since he was a young boy, Chief Tom is still an active member in his local Assembly of God church. While serving in the church he met his wife, Sonya, and they married in 2003. They have 5 amazing children, all actively involved in ministry.
