About the Book

The dreaded Mr. X, leader of the 9/29 gang, is a renegade ex-Shaolin Temple student who wants to create a world order that plays his tune. His earlier misadventures sealed the fate of Jemz until the latter's release from the youth custody centre as a young man of good behavior who is ready to start life all over again on a clean slate. They say life has a way of going in circles and with so much dramatic humor and suspense rolling in the following events, the 2 characters cross paths one more time, leading to deadly hand-to-hand duels that introduce and mix various systems of martial arts in the universe. Within all these events, the introduction of Midd, by fate, a Master of Martial Arts who faces life with humility really strengthens Jemz' position in the dire situation that he finds himself in. Will good overcome evil? Is it true that crime never pays in the long run
About the Author: My Greetings, World! I am an accomplished and self-made personality in the arts; as Mr. Hans of Bruce Lee's ENTER THE DRAGON, said, "...we are unique gentlemen...in that we create ourselves..." I am a very warm and friendly chap who applies the old Chinese proverb as my mantra..."Once we meet, we are friends". I am first of all a Martial Artist, then a Creative Artist (Cartoonist) and lastly a Performing Artist (who loves reading and researching a lot on anything under this beautiful sun). I have learnt and practiced martial arts since my elementary school, in its various forms, including but not limited to Goju Ryu, Shotokan, Tai Kwon Do and Jeet Kwon Do, currently studying Wing Chun under own initiative (Respect to all my Sensei and self-research). In my training, I target Skill (technique), Speed, Stamina (power/strength) & Accuracy. I don't do this to fight but to learn not to fight (for life in itself is a fight), develop more my physical, mental and spiritual capabilities and create a balance within me, build self-confidence, gain good posture and balance plus fitness, learn how and when to appreciate the uniqueness in and limits of others and target how to get easily absorbed in any different culture/age-set that I might find myself in. In martial arts have I also learnt to search in me for that elusive master and impossible perfection which I see reflects positively in my other fields as I have applied this to gain extraordinarily satisfying levels on other life struggles, e.g. tourism and travel (I am currently a Tour Consultant). As a Creative Artist specializing in Cartoons, what better way to bring out my creativity spider and express it within the arts above whose skills I have already mastered! Thus the concept of a martial arts based comic book. As if that is not even enough, how best to bring this out successfully using my Performing Arts skill in real-time comedy/cartooning; and so was born my comic book series - TIGER ADVENTURES, dwelling around crime, mystery in martial arts amid humor (this life needs a laugh, for it is hard enough already). In my history, I have done illustrations and cartoons for various publications, magazines and text books, with some of my work on the TakingIT Global Website sensitizing on the world youth and vices in the society. I am also a member of the Nairobi Communicating Artists. Please enjoy your reading...while at it, remember that criticism buildeth while praises encourageth. Thank You.
