About the Author: Irene Vincent was born in Rochester, New York, in 1952. She started college as a chemistry major and received a two-year Associate of Science Degree at MCC in Rochester, New York. She moved to Miami, Florida and changed her major to painting, graduating with a BFA from Florida International University in 1977. Then she moved to Southern California where she built up a retail jewelry business, while passionately pursuing her second parallel career as an artist. In 2015, she then moved to Port Townsend, WA. As well as being an author, she has been a visionary artist and teacher for over 30 years. Her art has been exhibited world-wide. While continuing to write, paint and teach, she speaks about the transformational power of symbols that appear in her art, dreams and visions. During her painting classes, she teaches people to paint with spiritual intension and spontaneity, providing an opening for their intuition. Irene's journey has taken her on many paths. She explored life from the ghettos, from poverty, from relationships, from the entrepreneurial business world, and from the perspective of an artist. She has traveled and experienced many cultures, along with exploring the esoteric arts. She has met and studied with many yogis and spiritual people.
