About the Book

There is a banner or standard that the Lord is raising up in this hour. God desires that the whole Church rally at its base. The banner represents God's desire to restore the Melchizedek priesthood to His Church - to call all believers to minister to God and to their spheres of influence. If this call to the priesthood is the standard we are to raise up before the Church, we must get down to the business of defining and, more importantly, moving into that calling. In Return of the Priests, Thomas Schlueter defines the priesthood and uses simple terminology and everyday illustrations to explain his understanding that God wants all of us to stand before Him as priests. The priesthood is... -a call initiated and defined by God -an invitation, based on our covenant relationship of faith, into an intimate fellowship with God -carried out - not in the framework of a religious system - but in everyday lives -meant for all people called, claimed and redeemed by God's sovereign will and grace through Jesus Christ -expressed through our lives by an authority we are given by God to serve in His kingdom in response to our intimate relationship with Him. God is restoring a kingdom of priests in our generation - not a priesthood defined by clerical collars and religious rituals - but a priesthood of everyday people walking intimately with God. Everyday priests hear His voice and speak His heart with life-changing authority in their homes, their neighborhoods, their workplaces. Pastor Schlueter's heart for worship and his vision for authoritative intercession permeate his preaching and teaching. He has a gift for using everyday life experiences to illustrate Kingdom principles. You will gain from reading this book a new understanding of the authority God has given you and a deeper hunger for intimacy with the Father.
About the Author: Thomas Schlueter has been Pastor of Prince of Peace House of Prayer, a strategic house of prayer in Arlington Texas, for 29 years. Pastor Schlueter obtained a Bachelor's degree at Texas A&M University before receiving his Masters of Divinity at Wartburg Theological Seminary. He received his Doctor of Ministry in July 2006 from Christian Leadership University in New York. Pastor Schlueter's ministry extends beyond Prince of Peace House of Prayer and the Dallas-Fort Worth region. He has also been appointed as the Apostolic Coordinator of the Texas Apostolic Prayer Network. He serves as the Texas and South Central United States Regional Leader of the Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network directed by Apostle John Benefiel and the Reformation Prayer Network directed by Apostles Cindy and Mike Jacobs of Generals International. Pastor Schlueter teaches prayer and Bible seminars locally and internationally. Pastor Schlueter is in covenant relationship with Dr. Chuck Pierce of Global Spheres International and Antioch Oasis International, led by Apostle Olen Griffing. Pastor Schlueter is actively involved with praying strategically for city government and workplace ministry. He has a passion to see the whole city of Arlington, Texas, the State of Texas and the heartland regions of the United States come into their full redemptive purpose. He also has a zeal for developing a strong covenant relationship with the First Nations people. He desires to witness the releasing of the full destiny of God into their lives as the first peoples of our nation. He is also the author of Keeper of the Keys, a book that shares how God is opening doors so that His kingdom can come forth into this earth. But He needs gatekeepers -those who will open the doors of His power, presence and transforming life to come into family, workplace, city, state and nation. You will discover in these pages that you are a Keeper of the Keys. He has empowered you to be a gatekeeper. Like Nehemiah and Peter, you have been given keys that will unlock the glory of the Lord in your region. It is also available on Amazon. He is married to Kay Schlueter, and they have 3 grown children: Josh and his wife Andrea, Katie and her husband Tim, and Amy and her husband Allan. The couple has 5 grandchildren.
