Developed by the Pennsylvania Leadership Development Center (PLDC), Results by Design acts as an introduction to PLDC planning retreats or as a comprehensive guide to managing your own.
Based on the concept of strategic design formulated by Chuck Schwahn and Bill Spady, Results by Design asks you to focus on the future of your educational organization, be it a public school, school district, or nonprofit organization. In all cases, the questions are the same: What defines your organization, and where does it need to go?
Results by Design offers a chance to adopt planning as one of your organization's top priorities. In these pages you'll learn how to write and commit to plans while remaining flexible enough to change with the times. You'll learn how to evaluate your current position, develop long-term goals, and assess indications of success.
Results by Design is both an invaluable planning guide and handy resource, especially when used in combination with a PLDC facilitator. By making a commitment to the future now, we best serve children yet to move through our organizations.
