Dabei ist es bedeutsam, dass gerade die jüngste Generation unserer Gesellschaft, die Kinder und Jugendlichen, resiliente Denk- und Handlungsmuster vermittelt bekommen, um zu lernen, wie sie aktuellen Widrigkeiten und Belastungen des Erwachsenenlebens standhalten können. Der Schule kommt dabei als einzige verpflichtende Bildungsinstitution eine tragende Rolle zu. Sie stellt eine Konstante im Leben der Kinder dar und hat dadurch die Möglichkeit kontinuierlich das Leben der Kinder, neben ihrem näheren Umfeld, mitbeeinflussen zu können. Aus diesem Grund ist es von Relevanz, die Resilienz mehr in das Zentrum der Schulforschung zu rücken. In dieser Bachelorarbeit sollen die Möglichkeiten der Resilienzförderung in Schule und Unterricht am Beispiel der deutschen Schulpreisträgerschulen untersucht werden. Für die Untersuchung wurden die Schulkonzepte der Hauptpreisträgerschulen der Jahre 2014, 2015 und 2016 auf Resilienz fördernde Aspekte untersucht. Die Bedeutsamkeit einer Untersuchung dieser Schulen liegt darin begründet, dass sie einen Orientierungsrahmen für andere Schulen bilden. Weisen die Schulpreisträgerschulen Resilienz fördernde Möglichkeiten auf, so ist es wahrscheinlich, dass andere Schulen diese künftig auch für sich nutzbar machen werden. Im Folgenden wird das Phänomen der Resilienz, mit dem Risiko- und Schutzfaktorenkonzept, sowie die Befunde aus der Resilienzforschung und verschiedene Resilienzansätze umfassend dargestellt. Auf dieser Grundlage wird Resilienz mit der Institution Schule in Bezug gesetzt und untersucht, welche Schutz- und Risikofaktoren in diesem Zusammenhang zugrunde liegen.
