Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Entwicklungspsychologie, Note: 1,3, Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel (Philosophische Fakultät), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Frage, welche Faktoren dazu beitragen dass sich manche Kinder positiv entwickeln, obwohl sie einer hohen Belastung ausgesetzt sind und warum andere Kinder mit ähnlicher Problematik Entwicklungsstörungen aufweisen, beschäftigt aktuell die Resilienzforschung, mit der ich mich in der vorliegenden Arbeit auseinandersetzen werde. Darüber hinaus ist mir ein Anliegen aufzuzeigen, wie die aktuellen Erkenntnisse aus der Resilienzforschung für die Praxis genutzt werden können. Anhaltspunkte dafür, wie die Ausbildung und Stärkung von Resilienz in der pädagogischen Arbeit umgesetzt werden kann, sind gerade im Hinblick auf die zunehmenden Belastungen von Kindern wichtig. Seit einigen Jahren wird verstärkt versucht, neben Risikofaktoren für die Entstehung psychischer Störungen auch Schutzfaktoren, die für den Erhalt seelischer Gesundheit bedeutsam sind, zu identifizieren. Aus diesem Wechsel der Blickrichtung ergaben sich neue Wege für die Präventionsforschung. Heute liegt der Fokus nicht mehr ausschließlich auf der Minimierung von Fehlverhalten um Störungen zu beheben, sondern vermehrt auf der Förderung von Kompetenzen und Fähigkeiten, die zu einer positiven Lebensbewältigung verhelfen. Basierend auf dem Konzept der Salutogenese von Aaron Antonovsky und verschiedenen Langzeitstudien, insbesondere der Kauai-Studie von Emmy Werner, hat sich die Resilienzforschung etabliert. Die vorliegende Arbeit hat das Ziel, die grundlegenden Konzepte der Resilienzforschung verständlich darzustellen und die Ergebnisse der wichtigsten empirischen Langzeitstudien zu beleuchten. Darüber hinaus soll die Bedeutung des Resilienzkonzeptes für die pädagogische Praxis verdeutlicht werden.
