About the Book

This book is the story about the extraordinary little boy and his fight to maintain resilience through trials and tribulations in his life, such as alcoholism, violence, abuse, and trauma. About the Author: Clinton Patton Sr. is the son of Clinton Hamilton Sr. and Stephanie Patton. He is the CEO at Patton Behavioral Health, LLC. He received his B.S. in psychology from Texas A&M University - Commerce and a Masters in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a man of God. He has been active in the public speaking field for over 7 years specifically in the areas of domestic violence education and intervention, mental health vs. behavioral health, at risk youth empowerment, ways of parenting at-risk children and adolescences, bridging the gap between mental health professionals and educators and healthy relationships between mothers and sons. He has successfully implemented the "Integrated Solutions for Aggression" program at the Principles of Resilience Youth Development, LLC. and The Principles of Resilient Youth Development program as Hands to Guide You, INC. He has developed an annual workshop specifically for domestic violence intervention, "If I Can't Have You No One Can." His experience includes over 9 years in the mental health field. And he has 8 years of experience as a therapist specializing in various mental health issues such as depression, ADHD, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder, PTSD, and so forth. In addition, he has 7 years of experience in an inpatient facility as a mental health worker, working specifically with sexually abused children. He has worked specifically with families within the lower socio-economic status motivating and facilitating necessary environmental changes conducive for healthy familial functioning. He is currently establishing the Ashley Renea Hamilton Foundation in order to assist families lacking financial means to obtain mental health services for symptoms of mental health disorders as a result of domestic violence and to provide the opportunity for rebuilding a successful life. The Foundation came about following the tragic death of Ashley Renea Hamilton. Her death, a result of domestic violence, has sparked a fire inside of Clinton Patton to change the behavioral dynamics contributing to domestic violence, so that families can coexist peacefully within society. "I believe wholeheartedly that Love is the foundation of success and that love encompasses all things. I believe that in order to get the changes necessary for healthy success is that it is done in and out of love." Clinton C. Patton Sr. MHR, LPC
