About the Author: Dr. Jason R. Frank is a clinician-educator with a focus on all aspects of health profession training systems. He currently holds roles of the Director, Specialty Education, Strategy and Standards in the Office of Specialty Education at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the Director of Educational Research & Development in the Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Ottawa. An associate professor at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Medicine, he is cross-appointed to the Faculty of Education, University of Ottawa and the Department of Graduate Studies, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Dr. Frank was the recipient of the 2013 Council Award Honouring Outstanding Physicians, presented by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, to recognize physicians whose performance and expertise in their career has been exemplary. Dr. Eddy S. Lang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, at the University of Calgary and holds the position of Senior Researcher with Alberta Health Services. He has been a participant / tutor trainee / or tutor at the McMaster EBCP course for most years dating back to 1999. His areas of interest are knowledge translation, evidence-based medicine and operations research. Dr. Lang is a member of the GRADE working group and has led the development of GRADE-based clinical practice guidelines in pre-hospital care in the US as well as with the International Liaison Committee for Resuscitation. Dr. Lang is also an award-winning educator having received recognition at both the university, national and international levels. Dr. Bart J. Harvey is an Associate Professor with the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto and a full member of the University's School of Graduate Studies. From 2003 to 2008 Bart served as the Director of Family and Community Medicine Research and from 1996 to 2006 as the Director of U of T's Public Health and Preventive Medicine Residency Program. He is the Chair of the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada's (RCPSC) CanMEDS 2015 Research Expert Working Group, a past President (2002-2004) of the Canadian National Specialty Society for Community Medicine, and past Chair (2006-2012) of the RCPSC's Specialty Committee for Public Health and Preventive Medicine. Dr. Harvey has been the principal or co-author on dozens of papers published in peer-reviewed journals.
