Reedición de la obra original de 1859, a la que añadimos un estudio propio introduciendo el caso y un índice de la Reseña. (Ofrecemos también otras dos versiones en libro electrónico con OCR e índice, y en tapa blanda impresa a color -para mantener el color de papel envejecido y usado-) Manuel Blanco Romasanta (Regueiro-Esgos, provincia de Ourense 18-11-1809; Ceuta 14-12-1863), más conocido como El hombre del Unto o el Hombre Lobo de Esgos, es sin duda uno de los casos judiciales acaecidos en Galicia más célebres y citados a nivel internacional. De oficio tendero ambulante, entre 1846 y 1851 se ofreció como guía para llevar a servir a buenas casas de Ourense y Santander a diversas mujeres de los pueblos de Rebordechao y Castro de Laza, sin que se volviera a tener noticias suyas.Se fue extendiendo la creencia de que las había asesinado en la sierra de San Mamede para sacarles la grasa y venderla en las boticas de Chaves (Portugal), razón por la que comenzaron a llamarle El del unto.Ante el clamor popular acusándole de haber asesinado a nueve personas huyó a Castilla. Meses después fue detenido en Nombela (Toledo). El mito del hombre lobo irrumpe cuando en su sorprendente confesión Manuel Blanco manifiesta sufrir una maldición que le transforma en lobo, y bajo esta forma reconoce haber asesinado y devorado a trece personas.
