Poezia lui Victor Michail Stigniţeanu stă sub semnul interogaţiei. Toate ipotezele existenţiale şi toate ipotezele conştiinţei se întâlnesc şi se interferează la nivelul maturităţii depline.
Poetul a parcurs toate devenirile moderne ale poeziei şi a ajuns la momentul de conştientizare a actului liric, ca demers fundamental în percepţia lumii, cu timpul, discursul liric s-a scuturat de podoabe, a renunţat la metafore şi artificii gramaticale pentru o exprimare limpede, cursivă şi cu atât mai convingător, semnificativă.
Ego-ul poetic oficiază din centrul universului şi lumile posibile se stratifică logic şi coerent, de la existenţa banală, cotidiană, până la aspiraţiile şi adierile metafizice.
Un lucru nou în poezia lui Victor Michail Stigniţeanu nu este imaginaţia cosmologică, călătoriile astrale ca în La Steaua eminesciană. Un lucru paradoxal şi cu atât mai interesant, este interogaţia asupra naşterii (şi nu a morţii), problematica genezei omului şi cosmosului într-o lume mecanicistă şi tot mai pragmatică.
Poezia de meditaţie filozofică şi cosmologică se împleteşte integral numai prin asocierea cu sentimentul erotic, pentru că geneza şi erosul rămân cele două dominante de semnificaţie a acestui volum. Poetul înţelege să preia idei noi din filozofia genezei universului şi, pentru a preveni o posibilă ariditate, le asociază cu sentimentul erotic, cu o meditaţie melancolică profundă care pune în centrul lumii cuplul adonic, perechea dominatoare în toate adâncimile nebănuite ale cosmosului. [...]
Autorul a parcurs rapid toate etapele formative ale unei conştiinţe poetice şi iată că acum poate veni în prim-planul literaturii cu o luminoasă şi credibilă carte de poezie adevărată care poate relua într-un univers personalizat toate marile teme ale lirismului. Chiar şi inimitabila asociaţie hamletiană într-un text rotund, precum Pendulând: „Prin toate spaţiile universului / Timpul se măsoară pendulând / Într-un tic-tac continuu / Ca un fel de preludiu, / Ce duce spre centrele negre / Care vor să înghită orice mişcare. / Şi noi, minuscule umbre, / Ale unui minuscul soare, / Pendulăm repetat / Între Yin şi Yang, / Între da şi nu, / Între sămânţă şi rod, / Între nimic şi un pic de ceva, / Între iubire şi neiubire, / Pentru a fi sau a nu fi."
Autorul descoperă virtuţi poetice în „curbura Timpului", în „naşterea Marelui Strămoş al Universului", în „trecerea peste Marele Prag", în „Marea lumină a împreunărilor stelare", făcând din viziunea cosmică un loc comun al poeziei sale şi o particularitate subliniată a creaţiei, inconfundabile prin sensurile stranii, misterioase, de mare originalitate pentru creaţia lirică de azi.
Tipologic vorbind, o poezie cosmogonică de asemenea amplitudine nu s-a mai scris de la Eminescu.
