About the Author: Mike Adlam is the author of dark comedies: Malpractice, Sharp Practice and the soon to be published Out of Practice. In 2007, things were looking grim for Mike, after being told by doctors that they did not expect him to survive a week, following his collapse with cancer of the liver. However, he refused to be beaten and it is a moot point how much the sharply observed satire running through the books owes to his own experiences.
