Both his education and earlier work required numerous moves across America. First introduced to the Great Dismal Swamp of Virginia while attending Regent University School of Law, Wallace's fond memories of the place struck him as the perfect setting for the fictional township of his Hearts series. The first two books, Holes in Their Hearts and Renewal of Their Hearts, touch on universal issues people face in relationships while also sharing the life-transforming hope and healing that only God's love gives.
