"Can anything good come out of your life?"
The man at the pulpit asked me, his calm voice contrasting with the weight of his words. He was my pastor, dressed impeccably in a crisp white shirt and dark, well-pressed trousers. His eyes held a mix of disappointment and concern, echoing the unspoken judgment of the congregation.
All of this unfolded because my father, a man who held purity in high esteem, was often absent, consumed by his work. Though a strict disciplinarian when present, his absence left my mother in charge, a woman who trusted me implicitly, confident in my ability to uphold the family's honor. But she never realized that her trust, her carelessness, might lead me down a path that could shatter my future.
I was beautiful-a fact no one could ignore. My tall, graceful figure turned heads and stirred envy among my friends. But was it a crime to be beautiful? To attract attention? To live in a world where every glance felt like a judgment?
It happened. The inevitable. I found myself with another life growing inside me-a secret too big to hide. When my father discovered the truth, his reaction was swift and unforgiving. "You've punctured my values," he declared, his voice cold and final. And just like that, I was cast out, with nowhere to go and no one to turn to. I was REJECTED
I could only wonder: Was his reputation more important than me, his daughter? But it was too late. The street became my new home, and with "the other kind" growing inside me, I was left to face the world alone.
This is just the beginning of my story.
But no one saw the ending coming.
