A pesquisa tem como objetivo, analisar a usabilidade das redes e mídias sociais como ferramenta impulsionadora das estratégias de marketing digital em organizações jornalísticas no Município de Goiânia (GO). No referencial teórico é descrito inicialmente, sobre a evolução das ferramentas de comunicação, em seguida é relatado sobre o marketing contemporâneo e para finalizar é discutido sobre o diferencial competitivo nas empresas. Na pesquisa de campo é identificado que os jornais entrevistados, preocuparam-se com a inserção das organizações no ambiente web, entretanto essa inserção é recente e data o ano de 2006 no jornal que utiliza mais tempo essa tecnologia e 2010 nos jornais que implantaram essa tecnologia mais recentemente. Os jornais pesquisados possuem as redes e mídias sociais de maiores acessos, tais como: Facebook e Twitter, provavelmente a aderência às mesmas é devido à tendência do mercado, e por ser um meio de mídia para atingir o público-alvo. Fica ainda evidenciado que, a promoção do marketing digital, a partir das redes e mídias sociais deve ser proporcionada por profissionais qualificados e ferramentas específicas de apoio quando observados no segmento pesquisado.
