Schon in der Reformation geraten die Bibellekture von Laien und das Priestertum aller Glaubigen damit in Konflikt. Er ist bis heute nicht gelost. Anhand von vier Stationen aus der Zurcher Reformationsgeschichte erzahlt Ulrich Knellwolf, wie es zu diesem Konflikt kam, der schliesslich zur Abspaltung der Taufer fuhrte: Das Wurstessen am ersten Fastensonntag 1522 geht ein in eine Kantate, die Hinrichtung des Taufers Felix Manz in ein Horspiel, er erzahlt vom Bildersturm des Schuhmachers Klaus Hottinger, der das Wegkreuz in Stadelhofen umlegt, wie vom Sonntag, an dem der italienische Glaubensfluchtling Bernardino Ochino im Grossmunster einen jungen Pestalozzi tauft. Dass Verkundigung damals und heute Aufgabe aller Christen ist, daran lasst Ulrich Knellwolf keinen Zweifel. Eigenstandig und hochst aktuell entwickelt er auf den Spuren des Pfarrers und Schriftstellers Jeremias Gotthelf, wie der Konflikt gelost werden konnte. Sein Ansatz regt an, dieses offene Problem reformatorischer Theologie und Kirche in den Reformationsjubilaen neu zu bedenken.
About the Author: Ulrich Knellwolf, Dr. theol., Jahrgang 1942, ist Pfarrer und Schriftsteller. Er veroffentlichte mehrere Romane (Roma Termini, Auftrag in Tartu) und Bande mit Kurzgeschichten (Tod in Sils Maria, Im Taxi nach Bethlehem). Im TVZ erschienen die Weihnachtsgeschichten Ein roter Teppich fur den Messias, seine Dissertation uber Jeremias Gotthelfs Theologie Gleichnis und allgemeines Priestertum, Erfullte Zeit, In Leiden und Sterben begleiten (mit Heinz Ruegger) und Wir sind's noch nicht, wir werden's aber.
