Traumas we experience as children remain with us, influencing our self-concept, behavior, and self-worth. The effects of verbal and physical abuse cannot be overstated and leave the child within us feeling isolated, fearful, and powerless.
As adults, when we criticize ourselves, the voice we employ is most likely the internalized voice of the negative parent or caregiver, which sadly leads us to believe we were bad or defective as children.
The Reclamation of Self offers information and techniques that inspire positive change, love, healing, and confidence. Under Michael Aiello's expert guidance, you'll discover how to create a safe, comforting environment within your psyche, where you can reunite with your inner child and reclaim the pure essence of who you are.
Inside all of us is a bright star-child, our inner-self of pure potential, who is reaching out for us. This child longs for the acceptance and love of its future self-to be gathered into our arms and to be loved the way we were always meant to be loved.
