About the Book

Arbrielle "Bri" Reynolds is the third-born child of Audrey Reynolds. She is the first child Audrey and Daniel share together. At a young age, Audrey and Daniel discover Arbrielle has a gift. She is the singer of the family. She is blessed with a gift but is cursed with a jealous spirit. As a little girl, she begins to envy her older sister, Ariel. A rebellious spirit joins the spirit of jealousy during her teenage years.

Bri catches the eyes of teenager Kevin "Keys" Mallard at a church event. Her voice captures his heart, and he has to know who she is. After approaching her, the two exchange numbers, but their relationship is far from puppy love. While Keys is a bit more mature than Arbrielle, she is only focused on singing. She isn't interested in the "gospel" path her parents have paved for her. She wants to travel down her own path of "R&B."

Keys is supportive of Arbrielle as she starts her music career. He has made a vow to himself that he will only play for her if she remains a gospel recording artist. Keys fears for Arbrielle if she crosses over. He has his own experience with the music industry that may tie him back to Audrey.

Once Bri gets her hit gospel record, she believes she doesn't need her parents anymore. Keys tries to convince her not to cross over, but she doesn't listen. Arbrielle starts down a dark path that leads her back to a past Audrey thought she had left behind. Arbrielle refuses to listen to her mother and finds herself in a deadly situation where only God's mercy can pull her through. She loses her voice. Will she get it back? Her mother is done with her. Will Audrey come back? Keys becomes upset with her. Will she lose him? Ariel still loves her. Will Bri ever love her sister back, or will her niece be the glue for their relationship to mend? Will Daniel walk away from his firstborn, kill for her or remain the man of God she needs to help her grow spiritually?
