Erhalten die Kinder eine richtige Lösung, wenn sie die Aufgaben zu den leichten sortiert haben? Wie sieht die Fehlerquote im Zusammenhang mit den halbschriftlichen Rechenstrategien aus? Und zuletzt: Wie sieht die Verteilung der Fehlertypen im Hinblick auf die halbschriftlichen Rechenstrategien aus? Im Folgenden wird zunächst der theoretische Hintergrund vorgestellt, der zur Einordnung in das Thema dient, sowie Grundlagen für den empirischen Teil und somit auch für die Untersuchung an der Grundschule darstellt. Dabei werden zuerst für die Thematik relevante Begrifflichkeiten definiert, darunter fallen die Rechenoperationen Addition und Subtraktion, die vier Rechenmethoden und die verschiedenen halbschriftlichen Rechenstrategien des halbschriftlichen Rechnens, die jeweils zur Verdeutlichung und zum besseren Verständnis an Beispielen gezeigt werden. Hierbei werden vor allem auf die halbschriftlichen Rechenstrategien der Addition und Subtraktion und die möglicherweise auftretenden Fehler während der Nutzung eingegangen. Im letzten Unterkapitel des theoretischen Teils dieser Arbeit wird der Forschungsgegenstand in bestehende Forschungsarbeiten zu diesem Thema eingeordnet. Der empirische Teil der Arbeit beinhaltet die Hauptforschungsfrage mit den jeweiligen Unterfragen, die sich aus der Untersuchung in der Schule ergaben. In diesem Kapitel wird zunächst das methodische Vorgehen der empirischen Untersuchung dargestellt und genauer beschrieben.
