About the Book

What do we have to do as black people in a country that was built on the backs of African slaves to be treated equally and respected? Black people demand the fair treatment and equality promised to all people in the United States. My book describes the actions and day to day life of a black person in America. It also describes why racism is destroying America and will inevitably lead to a race war within our borders. In reality, the race war is already starting and with the recent atrocities of racial acts including police officer brutality and white supremacy groups, it will only get worse. As a basic American without millions of dollars or fame, I thought it was important to show the true life of a normal individual while providing the actual amount of black history known by normal black people. My wish is to express and enlighten the black and white community of the continued mistreatment of blacks. Every person in America and the world has prejudice in their soul. It is important to express love towards your fellow man and woman and continue to build this great nation equally. You will see a way of life in this book that fits your life. Hopefully we all can change into the people America first sought after!
About the Author: William P. McAlister William P. McAlister writes thought provoking, knowledge based, emotional nonfiction literature about the trials and tribulations of racism for average black people in America. Raised in California by two wonderful parents, he lives in Fort Worth Texas where he enjoys a military oriented retirement. While serving in the Army for over 23 years and now retired, William built up a great deal of knowledge about racism on a global scale always differing from America. He decided to begin writing about his experiences and completed his first book 'Really America! What do we have to do?" Emotional and courageous are two words describing this book and its author due to the real-life experiences portrayed and documented throughout this book. William attended American River College studying a variety of subjects which earned him an Liberal Arts Degree. Focused mostly on history, he felt it was necessary to begin telling the world the truth about black history without orientation towards one race. All races need accurate representation in history! William believes in experiencing the past while preparing for the future is a necessary tool in unifying America. Today, William continues to write personal experiences and truth. When he is not writing, he enjoys studying history, personal training and influencing people, young and old, with positive ways to improve relations between all races. He also enjoys his family, traveling and going to see documentaries about real-life heroes.
