About the Book

Have you ever been through something so terrible you wished yourself dead and throught God wanted you that way as well and you were only to happy to oblige given you had drifted in Clew Bay for three days surrounded by sharks strapped to a cross, and bleeding from a musket ball in your chest. Never mind your arm was pulled out of it's socket and leg broken. But then God laughed in your face and said, not yet. I'm calling your Grace. God's Grace and you will live. So Grace found life came with pain and her body might have survived, but it wasn't well, To add to that he gave you a mission to tell George Washington a personal message for him. One you weren't quite sure you remembered, but still God's grace or Grace was sufficient or so you'd heard for all things big and small including you. So it was our Grace found herself confronted with three men from her past and one must help her do God's bidding. Another must help her find the means to do good works and save the soul of a soulless being she found herself trapped in called a Selkie. A siren by all descriptions and unnatural being if you asked Lord Duncan Macrae, the man who said she was his wife more than once only to leave her and declare her a sister instead of a wife then show back up to try again. They were oil and water and still he wanted her. Grace thought he wanted her to burn, or drown. Dead was what he wanted her or so the Selkie thought. Life was complicated. But then one wouldn't need God's grace or Grace if it wasn't. She needed to go to the colonies and she needed someone to take her to George Washington before she died. He needed her to take his son in arms and calm him enough to get to Virginia. A boy who wasn't exactly normal. A polymath. A seer of the future, a self absorbed, spoiled rotten, hissy fit of a child that born his face somehow. And William knew Washington. He was going there on orders. He could use her, her jewels, and if that required him to let some Priest or want-a-be look alike marry them so be it. Wouldn't be his first time to use a woman in the line of duty. Most likely with how sick she was, probably not the last either. He just needed her to get them across that ocean in one peace. The rest would be a piece of cake or so Lord William thought. But one does not really reach for God's grace until you are put in you place, humbled beyond belief and realizing only a foolish man gives up Grace to someone else. Not to your sister. Not to your Mother. Not to her brother. And certainly not to an oceanographer at Harvard and his professors to publish her sorted past for all to see and read. And if you need a good solicitor to fight on your side to get her back, best you go hire the Lord of Hell, Liam Styles, Royal Marines and barrister for the Crown's elite until you figure out he wants her too.
