About the Book

In terms of material wealth Hitler's Reich was second only to the United States. A taboo topic is the allied plunder of the defeated Reich. From the onset of war and the cost of millions of lives the Allies spurned peace offers. To accept would jeopardise opportunity to ransack the Reich. From as early as February 1943, the USSR established the Trophy Brigades. Their purpose was to ransack and to share with the Allies the spoils of war. Every German home, thousands of factories, tens of thousands of cars, millions of captive slaves became prize of war. Germany's entire merchant marine and manufacturing base became war booty. The ransacking of Germany reduced the Reich to an empty shell. Plunder included surrender to Stalin 21 nations including Poland for whose integrity the war was started.Ralph Keeling, Institute of American Economics: "The sacking of Germany will go down in history as one of the most monstrous acts of modern times. Its excess beggars description and its magnitude defy condemnation."
About the Author: Mike Walsh is a veteran journalist, broadcaster and historian. A fugitive from renegade Europeans, leftists, palace journalists, he has shrugged off their wrath over 50 years of writing. Mike Walsh, his 41 book titles and The Ethnic European are 'denied the oxygen of publicity' by media. Mike Walsh is derisive of palace journalists whom he describes as jellyfish: 'spineless, they wander in a controlled environment and sting at will.' He adds; "I am a problem for media. Emerging from the swamp court journalists diligently search for 'hate speech', a raised arm salute or swastika armband; an unflattering photograph or family skeleton in the cupboard. Constantly disappointed, they sink back into the silence of the sewer. If they want a racist they have Churchill." His Irish-American father, Patrick had fought in four conflicts by the time he reached 40-years of age: The Irish peoples guerrilla war against the British Army's Black and Tans. These armed irregulars, dredged from England's prisons, were notorious for their viciousness. The Irish War of Independence and on to fight in the most ferocious hand-to-hand battles during the Spanish Civil War. Whilst on the frontlines he was a close associate of American war correspondent, Ernest Hemingway. Mike's father formed an enduring friendship with Ireland's celebrated playwright, Sean O'Casey. Eventually his father served in the Royal Air Force during World War Two as an aircraft fitter / flier. Kathleen, Mike's well-educated mother also mentored his writing skills was a former novice nun.
