About the Book

Julia is a promising artist who strikes up a relationship with Joe, an archaeologist working in the British Museum. He's deciphered some Egyptian scrolls describing special temple treasures hidden away for safety before a war. Directions for the location are included but they're deliberately confusing and probably intended for high ranking priests.

What are these special temple treasures? Famous for its mysterious ways, what did this ancient culture hide away?

Magical objects was the popular theory and an urge to solve the puzzle captures the public imagination.

After a visit to an elderly aunt, Julia inherits an heirloom that seems to have a curious link so she digs deeper. The search takes her through astral doorways and out of body experiences to a secret library in a celestial shrine.

The magi who wrote the scrolls were the hidden face of Egypt. Their first priority was to prevent unauthorized access to their holy of holies.

Mage is the root for magic, image and imagination - the consummator. The Radiant Chamber was the womb.

About the Author: Inspiration for The Radiant Chamber was a seed that took root a long time ago when I saw the view of Earth as observed by orbiting satellites. It took me by surprise when I saw sunlight reflected on the surface of the oceans. During periods of calm they act like mirrors, bouncing the rays of the sun to other regions of the galaxy. I still get a tingle whenever I see it now so the fascination hasn't worn off. As a boy my father took me to Stone Henge and in later years I found several other examples of solar temples but the most magnificent are the ones in Egypt. During its long period of development as a nation state, ancient Egypt was the training ground for magical development, whatever that means. For me it means fertile ground for imagination. I can see those mystics now, whispering to each other in some secret place, cooking up amazement. This wasn't a frivolous occupation either, the country was run by priests so the finest minds were at it in the hidden kitchens. It was common sense to see the world as flat in those days. Heavenly bodies in orbit would have made their brains fizz. Born into a military family, my life was a roving one until boarding school at the age of ten to give me consistency in my education. I joined the navy when I was 17 and travelled far and wide, then studied fine art for four years and discovered a whole new world. I live on a beautiful coastline in west Wales in a town called Tenby. Two other books along similar themes are in the editing phase, due for publishing in the near future. The Radiant Chamber is available as an ebook in April - in printed form in May 2015.
