A lifelong writer, Gordon K. Blenderman possesses an imagination that goes wild with words.
In this collection of limericks, he artfully showcases that passion for wordplay and wit through carefully crafted ditties that, unlike many poems of this style, can be read and enjoyed by the entire family.
Penned over the course of many years-often on the backs of napkins or on scraps of paper-the poems in this collection cover a wide variety of topics, ranging from the silly to the profound. While many of the limericks are meant to bring a smile to readers' lips, Blenderman does not hesitate to tackle weightier topics and ask thought-provoking questions about the nature of life.
Additionally, The Raccoon River Anthology includes an appendix of uncommon or unknown phrases and words for readers to reference, adding a further level of understanding and enjoyment.
With joy, humor, and great skill, Blenderman exposes readers to the delights of this often overlooked form of poetry. You'll enjoy letting your imagination get carried away by these whimsical, witty short verses.
