About the Author:
L. Gregory Henley, PhD, is passionate about helping entrepreneurs achieve their goals. First introduced to business ownership by his dad, who owned several small businesses while working a full-time job, Dr. Henley started his own painting business-with his dad's help-while still an undergrad student at MIT. Since then, he's launched other businesses, bought businesses, worked in large firms, worked in ventures started by others, and studied businesses and their leaders. One surprising opportunity led Dr. Henley to Alabama, where he bought a bank with several partners, and even more unexpectedly, met his wife.
After earning his PhD from Columbia Business School, Dr. Henley became a professor at the University of Tampa, where he helped develop their entrepreneurship program. From there he went on to join the Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of South Florida and then served as the director of the Herman J. Russell, Sr. International Center for Entrepreneurship at Georgia State University.
