Dabei ist es irrelevant, um welches Fach es sich handelt. Das Wissen, welches die Schulbücher den Schülerinnen und Schülern vermittelt, tun dies primär über die Sprache. Dies bedeutet letztlich, dass sich die Sprache über eben diese Fächergrenzen hinweg setzt und damit als Grundvoraussetzung des Wissenserwerbes gilt. Denn nur wenn die Schülerinnen und Schüler die Sprachkompetenz beherrschen, sind sie in der Lage Wissen zu erwerben. Auch in Bezug auf die Erarbeitung eines differenzierten Fachwortschatzes der Schülerinnen und Schüler obliegt dem Schulbuch eine kontinuierliche Aufgabe. Je größer und vielfältiger der Wortschatz und der Fachwortschatz der Schüler sind, desto leichter fällt es ihnen, sich in allen Lebenslagen auszudrücken, flüssiger zu lesen und sicherer zu schreiben. In dieser Hausarbeit wird der Frage nachgegangen, welche Qualitätsmerkmale die Schulbücher hinsichtlich der Förderung des Fachwortschatzes der Schülerinnen und Schüler vorweisen müssen, um die Ausbildung eines differenzierten Wortschatzes zu gewährleisten. Zunächst wird eine kurze Definition zum Begriff "Wortschatz" und "Wortschatzarbeit" gegeben. Im Anschluss erfolgt eine Differenzierung der beiden genannten Begrifflichkeiten zum "Fachwortschatzes". Im Folgenden wird dann die Relevanz dieser Thematik in den Vordergrund gestellt. Wozu brauchen die Schülerinnen und Schüler einen Fachwortschatz? Anschließend werden auf verschiedene Kriterien eingegangen und an positiven, wie negativen Beispielen erläutert. Die Kriterien sind folgende: schwierige Wörter, Erklärungen und Definitionen, Differenzierung zwischen Alltags- und Fachwortschatz und die Anzahl der Fachwörter. Abschließend werden die Ergebnisse zu der untersuchten Fragestellung zusammengetragen und in einem Fazit beurtei
